Biorefinery waste-to-energy platform

Cotswolds Capital is currently advising on the development of a regional circular bioeconomy infrastructure platform across the Gulf Cooperation Council. The initiative is intended to establish a portfolio of industrial-scale biorefineries that convert agricultural, municipal and industrial organic waste into renewable gas, sustainable aviation fuel feedstocks, industrial carbon dioxide and advanced fertiliser products.

Structured as a long-term infrastructure platform rather than a single asset, the project is designed to support the region's ambitions around energy transition, circular economy, industrial decarbonisation and resource security. The first development will establish the blueprint for future expansion across multiple GCC jurisdictions through a scalable portfolio of strategically located infrastructure assets.

Next Generation Cremation Infrastructure

Aethermal Systems is developing a next-generation cremation platform designed to modernise one of the world's largest and most resilient sectors of critical infrastructure. Combining advanced thermal processing, installation friendly modular system design and software-controlled operation, the platform has been developed to address the growing demand for more efficient, intelligent and environmentally responsible cremation technology.

The opportunity extends beyond the manufacture of equipment. The long-term strategy combines hardware deployment with recurring software, monitoring and service revenues, creating a scalable infrastructure platform capable of supporting crematorium operators internationally. With cremation now the dominant method of disposition across many developed markets and an ageing installed base requiring replacement, the business is positioned to address a substantial global opportunity.

Mine-to-market investment platform

Cotswolds Capital acts as the independent Security Trustee in connection with the London DE secured lending structure, holding security on trust for the benefit of lenders. The appointment is conducted on a strictly arm's-length basis, with no ownership interest or operational involvement in the underlying business. The role is to preserve the integrity of the security structure, monitor compliance with the transaction documentation and, where necessary, exercise the enforcement rights afforded to secured creditors.

The security arrangements extend across the London DE group and include security granted by multiple entities together with cross-company guarantees, providing lenders with recourse beyond a single operating company. Whilst the enforceability of security over assets situated outside the United Kingdom remains subject to the applicable laws of the relevant jurisdiction, the structure has been designed to maximise lender protection through coordinated security, multiple obligors and independent legal oversight. Cotswolds Capital does not provide investment advice or hold client money, acting solely in its capacity as independent Security Trustee throughout the life of the lending programme.
