About the firm

The shape of the firm.

A discreet strategic advisory firm, working under a single institutional name. What the firm offers is judgement, relationships, and experience - applied directly by the principals who hold them.

01 What the firm is

Cotswolds Capital is a discreet strategic advisory firm established to operate across complex transactional, capital, and organisational environments. The firm works under a single institutional name. There are no junior teams, no volume-based structures, and no advisory product to sell. What the firm offers is judgement, relationships, and experience - applied directly by the principals who hold them.

The firm advises privately held businesses, corporates, investors, family offices, and institutional stakeholders navigating situations where the outcome is shaped as much by how a matter is handled as by the terms eventually agreed.

02 Why it was established

Cotswolds Capital was established to fill a gap that exists in most advisory markets: the space between large institutional firms, which bring scale but not always alignment, and individual advisers, who bring relationships but not always structure. The firm was designed to be neither. It is an institution built around a team of experienced senior principals, operating with the independence of a boutique and the discipline of an established advisory firm.

The founding principle was simple: certain situations are better served by fewer people who are more senior, more independent, and more committed to the outcome than by larger teams working under conventional commercial structures.

03 How it operates

The firm maintains a deliberately limited number of active engagements. This is not a constraint; it is the operating model. Every mandate receives direct principal-level involvement from instruction to close. Nothing is delegated in substance.

Most engagements originate through established relationships, trusted intermediary networks, or private introduction. The firm does not operate through public origination or competitive pitch processes. Those who approach the firm typically already know something of what it does and have chosen to do so with care.

Engagements are characterised by discretion, clarity of scope, and a disciplined execution process that is agreed in writing before any action is taken.

04 What the firm does not do

Cotswolds Capital does not operate as a conventional consultancy. It does not offer retained advisory relationships without specific mandates, volume-based transaction services, or advisory functions that do not benefit directly from senior principal involvement. The firm does not take mandates it cannot resource properly, and it does not represent conflicting interests within the same transaction environment.

"Complex situations. Quiet intervention. Senior-level trust. Controlled outcomes. Minimal visibility."
